  • Responsibilities

    BKD is seeking a Marketing Senior Associate to support business development and marketing efforts for our Risk Advisory Services practice. The Risk Advisory Services practice offers a wide range of services that helps organizations manage risk. Services include cybersecurity, forensic accounting, fraud investigations, data analytics, business valuations, internal audit, etc. This position will work closely with senior management and is responsible for providing a blend of strategic marketing planning/execution and project management support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Strategic Marketing Planning/Execution:

    • Plan and manage the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for respective practice units. Integrated campaigns include print, digital and social media tactical elements.
    • Manage, curate and plan the distribution of BKD Thoughtware® (content marketing).
    • Drawing on resources of the firm, produce series of webinars targeted at clients and prospects. This also includes analyzing webinar attendee reports, distributing results to client service personnel and monitoring follow up activities.
    • Plan and execute firm participation in industry trade shows and conferences. This includes sponsorship negotiation, planning onsite events, booth logistics and follow-up activities. Some events will be attended in-person.
    • Participate in planning committees for internal training events. This includes collaborating on cross-functional teams to produce world-class training events for internal staff.
    • Serve as the point-of-contact with key trade organizations and associations.
    • Be an active participant in routine marketing and planning meetings.


    Project Management Support:

    • Provide client and prospect informational reports as requested. This includes utilizing data from a variety of databases (public and private information) to create the report(s).
    • Directly interface with executives in preparation and support of internal and external presentations. This includes assisting with presentation creation and development.
    • Coordinate and facilitate meeting schedules between a wide range of individuals. An example of this could include coordinating planning meetings with internal staff across multiple offices and time zones.
    • Update standardized marketing content housed in company intranet. This includes managing updates to personnel biographies, PowerPoint templates and related marketing collateral.
    • Assist in processing of incoming New Client Forms. This includes confirming correct and complete information has been provided and is subsequently uploaded to company’s CRM and billing system.
    • Work with firm resources (creative team and subject matter experts) to manage the creation, updating and printing of marketing materials.
    • Ensure CRM systems are maintained accurately and timely.


    Position Requirements:

    • Passionate about marketing, business development and innovation.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be flexible and patient as role will work on a variety of projects with varying priority levels.
    • Strong project management skills with an ability to work on multiple components of various projects simultaneously.
    • Well organized – task and detailed oriented.
    • Highly professional in conduct and appearance.
    • Should be able to effectively communicate above, below and laterally with a professional approach.
    • Self-motivated and able to work well independently and in a group setting.
    • Ability to report to, and work with, multiple team members that are in different locations.
    • Must be capable of ensuring that phases of projects meet required deadlines.
    • Will be required to travel in order to attend internal and external conferences, as needed.

    Required Experience:

    • Ability to work with marketing demographics and analyze data.
    • Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Self-motivated, self-starting.
    • College degree, preferably in business, marketing or related area.
    • Experience with Salesforce a plus.
    • Google Ad Word certified, or deep experience in setting up and running digital campaigns a plus.


    Years of Experience:

    At least 3–5 years in a professional setting.
