  • Responsibilities

    Our Kansas City, MO practice is seeking an Office Accountant to assist with handling the practice’s accounts payable, accounts receivable, time reporting, billing, as well as other administrative duties as requested. This is considered an internal support position.


    Manage all accounting operations including but not limited to:


    • Billing:
      • Review, print, and mail client invoices
    • Accounts Receivable:
      • Verify, scan, and enter checks
      • Respond to inquiries as needed
      • Ensure compliance with firm policies
    • Accounts Payable:
      • Vendor set-up, invoice coding, and entry
      • Reconciliation of credit cards
      • Manual check processing and entering charge-backs into system
    • Payroll:
      • Review of time and expense reporting
      • Reconciliation of expense receipts and entry into the system
    • End of Month and Period Closing:
      • Process, review, and mailing of client statements
      • Other reporting for accounts receivable
    • Other accounting tasks such as:
      • Annual hours budgets
      • Business personal property tax reconciliation
      • Maintaining QC110 information
      • Various report requests, etc.


    • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required; completed coursework from an accredited college/university or Associate’s Degree preferred
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience
    • Experience with STAR accounting system preferred, but not required
    • Ability to meet deadlines efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
    • Detail oriented (must be able to verify numerical accuracy)
    • Must work well in a team environment
