  • Responsibilities

    The National Industry Marketing Leader directs their assigned industry group in all aspects of marketing & business development, including strategic plan development, leading national association relationships & involvement, developing & managing the industry marketing budget, trade show planning & participation, strategic client & prospect pursuits, advertising and driving thought leadership through multiple platforms, including trade associations & publications, email marketing, webinars and videos.

    There will be a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:

    • Working with the National Industry Partner on revenue ideas, opportunities, and new markets
    • Supporting industry group growth by developing strategic growth plan and tracking plan progress
    • Leading and nurturing national association relationships to help generate more exposure and thought leadership opportunities
    • Driving thought leadership activities through articles, webinars, and videos
    • Creating & managing the industry marketing budget
    • Supporting development & implementation of industry growth initiatives
    • Creating monthly reports providing data-driven insights to firm leaders
    • Creating annual market demographic reports to help support strategic marketing decisions
    • Leading strategy sessions for key client and prospect pursuits
    • Actively participating in Industry Team Meetings to drive collaboration and best-practice sharing
    • Leading internal and external conference planning and logistics
    • Managing and create new marketing collateral
    • Managing social media account(s)
    • Managing and developing National Industry Marketing Specialist(s)


    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required
    • Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience required; 3-5 years preferred
    • Salesforce or other CRM experience a plus
    • Excellent computer and software skills, including experience with Excel
    • Experience using Tableau a plus
    • Ability to effectively convey information to others
    • Strong project and time management skills
    • Strong understanding of BKD’s culture & mission
    • Working knowledge of BKD’s service offerings
    • Solid foundation of applicable industry knowledge
    • Strong business judgement
    • Ability to work effectively within a team
    • Professional demeanor, positive attitude and a desire to succeed
    • Confidence, organization, innovation and problem-solving skills
