  • Responsibilities

    • Monitor Windows desktops for performance, security and stability issues
    • Analyze inefficiencies in the Windows desktop environment from a holistic view and assist in remediation
    • Perform application and operating system installation, configuration, and maintenance
    • Execute and manage the installation and updating of all workstations and mobile devices as needed throughout the firm, via Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and VMware Airwatch
    • Develop and implement test plans for software applications and patches on all BKD desktops to ensure functionality meets firm wide goals
    • Create and modify custom scripts to assist with software deployment and troubleshooting (MS PowerShell preferred)
    • Collaborate with hardware/software companies and BKD users in the testing of newly acquired hardware, and software
    • Work diligently to enhance or improve processes via the introduction of hardware and software, or, as necessary, minimize the impact on those processes
    • Provide escalation support services for service desk and enterprise application teams
    • Document identified issues, create appropriate remediation plans, and produce root cause analyses
    • Support deployment, compliance and operation of firm security technologies across all end user computing devices
    • Ensure managed operating systems and applications are patched appropriately


    • Bachelors degree in related field preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years direct experience in enterprise-level workstation and application testing, support, installation and training of enterprise hardware, software and mobile communications devices
    • Minimum of 3 years of advanced scripting experience (MS PowerShell preferred)
    • Ability to work in the on-call rotation and be available for a week at a time for after-hours calls
    • Proven experience with enterprise level application and OS deployment systems (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager preferred)
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Group Policies as they apply to workstation management
    • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
    • Knowledge of network protocols and standards
    • Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements
    • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
    • Strong technical documentation skills
    • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
    • Highly self-motivated and directed
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, project management focused environment
